The things we do for our children.

My teenager has dared me to post this video. It IS a Christian rock video...but oh so very strange. Though to be honest, after watching it a few times, you start laughing and might even find yourself slightly addicted to this screwball spoof of the 80's. OH MY!

This 40 something mom of 7 actually finds herself singing the chorus while cooking. SCARY.

I asked my daughter "If I post this, will I be the coolest mom you know?"

She answered, "no, but you'll be the funniest".

Great.

She also said that my 11 year old daughter B's best friend Candace would LOVE me because she L-O-V-E-S this video.

I really hesitated to post this. It is VERY wierd. These people are very peculiar. And to be honest, I figured I would offend about half the people who visit my blog.

My daughter, in all teenage wisdom said, "Mom, don't tell me you are still worried about what people think about you?!?"

So okay...I guess since I DO find this video to be funny in a very bizarre and slightly insane way, and my daughter REALLY wants me to post it, and I REALLY am a little to old to let what others might think keep me from posting something so goofy, I guess I'll go ahead and post this.

Can you tell I'm rather unsure about this decision?

Can you tell I'm still a big ole people pleaser and want EVERYONE to like me.

Can you tell that I a goober?

Yep, I am all of those things. But at least, for tonight, I'm also pretty "fun" in my daughter's eyes. And I guess that makes it all worth while....maybe?

Being the child of the 80's that I am, I thought it was funny :)

Peace...

LOL! I thought the video was funny! My favorite was the lead singers shirt "Soul Glow" (Remember that commercial from "The Golden Child" in the 80's? Ya know? The Eddie Murphy movie...ahhh anyway, I'll be singing THAT song all day now LOL)
