Be warned, this is a blantant brag about a very special person in the life of our family.
Around here, we really love and appreciate our daddy/husband. He's kind of a big deal to us for sure. He's hardworking, sacrificial, Godly, and loving. He works hard at being a good daddy and a caring husband.
In the work world, he's kind of a big deal, too. Not only is he over the dam safety program for the State of Mississippi, but he's also receiving accolades for his work. On Thursday, he was recognized at the Commission of Environmental Quality for his work in improving the dam safety program in our state. Next month, he'll be receiving similar recognition when he travels to a dam safety conference in Rhode Island.
As I said, a blantant brag, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. In this case, I gotta let my man know how proud I am of him. I also really appreciate all his years of labor. His job meant that I was able to be a stay-at-home mom and homeschool our children. It also means that he'll soon be retiring with benefits that are allowing us to move to Swaziland and start our next chapter of loving and serving the Lord together.
