TRYING TO TRUST

When God told Anna He wanted her to go to Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania to minister this summer, part of what He told her was that He wanted her to trust Him to bring in the money she would need.

Today, my daughter Anna posted on facebook that she is supposed to have the last of her support money in by May 10. That means in about a week, she needs to have $2,000 donated toward her African mission trip.

Two thousand.

Yeah.

It is a lot.

And to be honest, none of us see where it is going to come from at this point. She's received nearly $3,000 already and we have been trying to sell the travel trailer we own. Had we sold it at our starting price, she would have had all the money that she needed. But issues have come up with that and now it looks like we can't count on that as a source of financial provision.

All I can say right now is that when it comes in, it will truly be a work of God. I know that in God's economy, $3,000 ain't nothing. To us, it seems like a whole, whole lot.

So now we pray and trust and ask Him to help us not get stressed out. He truly owns the cattle on a thousand hills...and the money my girl needs to go love and serve in Africa this summer.

Elysa, I totally understand what you are saying. Michael and I have raised almost $2500 towards our trip to Kenya, but we still need another $3800! And that is a lot of money too!! But I am praying and believing for Anna, just as I am for us, that where God guides, He provides. He provided a tax payment for the disciples via a gold coin in a fish's mouth, and food for 5000 with only 5 loaves and 2 fishes. He can and will provide what Anna needs, even if it doesn't look the way we thought it would look or work out the way we think it will. Blessings!!
