UNCOMMONLY GOOD FELLOWSHIP
This past Friday night, we took our bajillion kids plus one friend down to New Orleans for a book release party. Now this wasn't just your everyday, common kind of book party, this was an uncommonly good time of fellowship in an amazing and uniquely New Orleans style house. We had come together with a couple of dozen others to celebrate the release of COMMON PRAYER: A LITURGY FOR EVERYDAY RADICALS. CP is written by Shane Claiborne (author of IRRESISTIBLE REVOLUTION), Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove, and Enuma Okoro.
Most of the folks present, are already committed to living in intentional communities or at least intentionally living in the communities that God has led them to. Others, are on the beginning of their radical, intentional journeys. All of us, in some shape, form, or fashion, had been impacted by the life of Shane Claiborne and his call to radically loving the least and lost in the name of Jesus.
If you are looking for a book that will guide you in your daily prayers and Bible readings plus you have a heart for the hurting, the hungry, the oppressed, poor, and the homeless, then you might want to grab yourself a copy of COMMON PRAYER.
Here are some photos from our evening at the Gnomestead, the home of our gracious host family:

And what good, Southern, radical-followers-of-Jesus party would be complete without Elvis?
