It is the NILE RIVER and it is in Uganda. A lot of people don't realize that the Nile starts way down in the heart of Africa, but it does. And my girl is spending the night right here, on its bank, surrounded by monkeys.
A teammate of hers posted this on facebook just a while ago. We also got lots of great reports from the team.
After arriving there safely last night, they woke up and went white water rafting on the Nile. At least one raft was flipped over 4 or 5 times by their guide. Two of the Expedition members were baptized today. And tonight, at their hostel that had wifi (the same one with all the monkeys along THE Nile River), Anna did swing dancing to classic rock with the boys on her team.
And tomorrow? After a morning spent bungee jumping (yes, Anna is participating) they will pile into buses and make a 5 hour journey to their first ministry site.
They are having a blast. But more importantly than just the fun they are sharing, they are sharing the life and love of Jesus. They are already falling in love with this place that God has led them to and they are all eager to start serving and bringing the light of Jesus to those in need.
What an amazing journey God has them on.
Thank you for being a part of that as you've prayed, given financially, encouraged with your words, and loved my girl.
This mama's heart is full and happy today. Yet again.
