OUTDOOR FUN
Yesterday, Super Dad took the 4
oldest kids to a big outdoor extravaganza.
Among other things, they were able to...

shoot guns (this is the SOUTH, you know)...

shoot hunting bows ...

watch someone make handmade stone weapons...

learn about wild birds and the care of hurt ones...
and hold animals including a baby alligator, boa constrictor,
and an albino boa that B. named Issy.

Cullen will be so envious! Wait til he sees the pictures. Thanks for the comments to him on his plane. He wanted me to print it out so he could keep it and show his dad.

This is an annual event so maybe next year y'all could plan on coming up. The boys especially would love having Cullen along. And maybe we girls could go shopping or something more indoorsy.;)

That is SO awesome! What a fun day! My kids would love this kind of thing! I am enjoying your blog, by the way--you have a wonderful walk.

Eleventh Hour---

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. :) You might want to check and see if your state offers such a thing. Our's was sponsored by our state wildlife folks plus a couple of other outdoor groups. It really was fun...and educational...and FREE...three things we homeschooers love! ;)

In response to your comment on my blog, I don't know you in real life (wish I did!). I found you on one of our many common interests--probably Grace. I just went to my library website and ordered some of the books on your fave list. I figured anyone that I share so many things in common with probably has some books I'd like too! I'll be checking your blog! :-)

Hope you enjoy them. I'm a book addict and the thing that frustrates me is not having the time to read all the great books out there...and even the not really great but still entertaining enough to want to read them books! ;)

And yes, we do have a lot in common. I noticed a lot of things I like (even if I don't have them listed as favorites) on your profile page....like George McDonald (or is it MACDonald?).
