All year long, my kids look forward to the Mississippi State Fair. All year long, they fantasize about what foods they will eat and which rides they'll go on. Today, all that dreaming became reality. Bumper cars, donut burgers, baby goats, funnel cake fries, amazing acrobats, fairway games, pineapple whip icecream, and vintage cars all came together to make a perfectly wonderful day.
I don't know what annual events will become traditions for our family in Africa. I don't know what my kids will talk about all year long as they look forward to certain days that only come once a year, but for now, we're appreciative of this last-time-for-us event here in the good ole U.S. of A.
