PUH-LEEZE...

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!

We've had a couple of "winter storm" warnings the last month or so. Sadly, all we've gotten is either some sleet mixed with bits of snow or just cold, cold rain that froze and left cool icicles and windshields that were glacial. The kids got out there one day and scooped together as much of the ice pellets and specks of snow to make a few snowballs to hurl at each other (or tuck away in the deep freezer as LG did) but nothing has happened to give us that beautiful, white covering that only true snow can bring.

Once again, snow is in the forecast. But as the rain comes down, down, down, I plead, "puh-leeze....let it snow, let it snow, let it snow".

As we sit around with the fireplace roaring and our toesies chilling, we keep checking the forecast and looking out the window hoping to see the pelleting drops transform to whiteness floating down.

In the meantime, here are a few of our few wintry books to enjoy on a cold, blustery day or to take an edge off the heat of a sweltering summer day:
