LET THE BIDDING BEGIN!

Look at that lovely girl and those beautiful eggs. That's my 9 year old daughter and just two of the items that we will be auctioning off online to raise money for my 3 teenagers' upcoming ministry trips. Everyday, God is answering our prayers and we are hearing of people who are going to donate things for us to help bring in the remaining money that is needed.

Among the items donated so far are:

*These two Ukranian eggs
*Two purses from Thailand
*A Thai necklace
*2 Thai bracelets
*African pictures
*Bracelets from Africa
*A Haitian keychain
*A Timbali purse from Swaziland
*A blue and brown cross painting
*2 handcrafted tote bags
*Baskets from Uganda
*A handpainted Haitian wall decor (that was too cute to resist so I already bought it)

We are still needing more donations. These items can include, but aren't limited to, paintings, crocheted and knitted items, homebaked goodies, gift cards, antiques, jewelry, t-shirts, homegrown fruits and veggies, cosmetics, hairbows, books, certificates for services rendered, holiday and seasonal items, hand-stamped stationary, wood carvings, and even custom-written songs and poems. It is also a great way to recycle those Christmas gifts that you received and didn't need or just didn't fit. You don't have to live near us to participate in donating or bidding. We ship!

You can read this blog post from a few days ago for further ideas and details:

But now for today's offering. These colorful eggs were donated by Clinton White, a missionary friend to Ukraine. He bought them from a street vendor while in that nation.

The first egg is primarily pink and green . It is painted on all sides and has a stylized cross pattern. It would make a lovely addition to Easter decorations or as a sweet gift for someone who has adopted from Ukraine or with family ties to that country. The starting bid for this darling egg is $12.

The second egg from Ukraine is painted orange and cream with accents of golden-yellow . The colors make this egg shine with cheer and sunshine. It is slightly bigger than the pink one but the starting bid will start a bit less due to a scrape on the egg. It is small, but since it is there, we will start the bidding at $10.

So here's what you need to do.

If you want to make a bid, just leave a comment telling me what egg you want and the price you are bidding. We want this one to end in time for the egg to be shipped and received by Easter, so this auction will end on Friday, April 1, that is 3 weeks from today. This date will allow for us to receive payment, get the egg to the p.o., shipped, and to the new owner in plenty of time to enjoy it during this wonderful season of the year.

For some reason, if you are unable to post a bid, you can message, email, or call me and I'll post the bid for you.

Also, if you want to share this or any of the auction items with other folks via fb, twitter, blogs, or email, we would so appreciate it.

Thanks and early happy Easter!
