I've received word from a pal on the Mississippi Gulf Coast that Hurricane Ike is already making his presence known even though they are not in his direct path. Sheri reports that Hwy. 90 along the beach is underwater as well as parts of Graveline Road in Gautier and the River Road in Mosspoint. Also, some of the roads in south Pascagoula are underwater. Her house, which is built up 9 feet, already has 8 inches of water under it. And it's not even raining!

Please pray for all those who are about to be affected by Hurricane Ike. We here in Mississippi remember all too well the devastation of Katrina and know that many are still recovering from Gustav.
